The intent of the development kit is give the application developer the basic tools necessary to configure and capture motion from the widest possible range of sources.
This first version will be no larger than a small cigar box and designed to be strapped to the back or chest of a human or to the back of a horse or other quadruped.
Although it will support direct-connect streams, either through Bluetooth or USB, it is assumed that most applications will want to take advantage of its portability and capture data on a flash drive for later analysis.
Our first model will be best suited to full body and limb motion capture for humans and larger animals. Smaller sizes suitable for digital gloves or smaller animals such as cats and rodents and waterproof versions for capturing swimming or aquatic animals are easily possible but will be more expensive.
